Aborting (cancelling) job item translation
If required, you can abort (cancel) translation of a job item into a particular language. You might do so, for example, if translation of a content item into that language was requested, but then not needed.
Note
You can only abort translation of a job item whose status is In progress or Needs review.
In the Job Items tab screen, find the job item whose translation you want to abort. (If necessary, filter the job items list to find it, searching for items that are Open job items, or whose status is In progress or Needs review.) On the right of the screen, you see the OPERATIONS column.
In the OPERATIONS column, select the action button in the line that contains the job item you want to abort:
Job items that have the status In progress: the action button will have the label View.
Job items that have the status Needs review: the action button will have the label Review.
In either case, select the down arrow next to the action button label. You see the Abort option.
Select the Abort option. A separate screen is displayed.
At the prompt, confirm that you want to abort the selected translation job item. If you do so, this action cannot be undone. You are warned that aborted job items can no longer be accepted for translation and that the translation provider involved will not be notified. XTM Cloud continuous projects will be moved to Archived.
To abort the selected job item, select the Confirm button. You return to the Job Items tab screen. A screen message confirms that you have aborted the job item. It is still displayed in the Job Items list but its status (in the PROGRESS column) is now Aborted.
To leave the job item unchanged, select the Cancel button. You return to the Job Items tab screen. There is no screen message or other notification to confirm that you have not aborted the job item. It is still displayed in the Job Items list, with the same status (in the PROGRESS column) as before.
